we're back!

Mark and I loaded up the car and the girls for a massive road trip at the end of July. Here are the numbers:

13 days
7 states
49 relatives
37 hours in the car
2 childrens' books on CD, which we listened to...
7 times
5 nursery rhyme CDs, which we listented to...
20 times (at least)
0 good naps in the car
15 pb&j sandwiches, made from the cooler and eaten at rest stops and gas stations.

In summary, it was totally, completely worth the effort. Being able to connect with family is always worth it, in my opinion. I only wish we could do it more. I love my extended family and I love Mark's, too.
