homemade cleaner

This is a picture of my first foray into homemade cleaners (and an excuse for extra practice with my camera). I have been wanting to try this for a long time but was waiting to use up what I already had. I decided to start with a "toilet bowl cleaner" since the chemical fumes from commercial cleaners makes me feel like my lungs are burning. This is so easy...just make a paste with baking soda and vinegar. And it works extremely well!

I have a whole book of green-clean recipes if you ever want to take a look at it. I even made laundry detergent once.

btw: whenever I clean with Clorox, my face turns red-delicious-apple red. It's terrible. I'm going to try your homemade cleaner.

Do you get Real Simple? They featured all natural home made cleaners this month! Good for you making your home more natural and safe for all! I have used vinegar and warm water for 5 years to clean floors and bathroom countertops/mirrors!
