This is why I deserve the worst-daughter-in-law-of-the-year award:
My MIL Nancy came last Wednesday to help me with Meg and Katie. It also was the day that some FSU film students wanted to use our house as a backdrop in one of their movies. They had asked us beforehand for permission to do this, but we didn't realize how long it would take and how many people would be camped out in our front yard.
Nancy was kind enough to offer to run to Publix for me while I took a nap. She didn't have a house key so I left the door unlocked. As she left I said, "call me if you have any problems!"
The next thing I know there is a knock on the dooor and some film student is telling me my car windows are down and it is pouring down rain. So I run outside with the baby, roll up the windows, run inside, and lock the door.
Then I proceed to nurse the baby, get tired, decide to take a nap, and turn off my phone.
I woke up (who knows how much later) to hear some strange tapping noises and I open the front door to find about 15 people with their cameras pointed straight at the front door, filming some scene with my MIL Nancy locked outside with her Publix bags and hiding behind a column!! I had locked her out, in the rain, in front of film cameras, with no way to call me!!
Meg had fun watching all the action.
